We here at ActualSchedules have made a new year’s resolution to include more award shows in our diet. To that end, we have made a list of all the awards shows that we could think of. Each entry on this list has to meet three criteria:

1. Be an awards show
2. Be televised
3. Be televised in the USA

Below is the list that we came up with. If you can think of any additional awards shows that meet the above criteria, or can help us with any of the dates, times, or networks of the below award shows, please help us out and leave a comment

Actual Schedule: 2012 Masters Golf Tournament – 4/5-4/8

• TV: ESPN, CBS
• Location: Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta, GA

The 76th edition Masters Tournament takes place this year April 5-8, 2012 from Augusta National Golf Club, in Augusta, GA. The Masters Tournament is one of professional golf’s four major championships. The first and second rounds will be broadcast on ESPN. The third and final rounds will both be broadcast on CBS.

The Masters is the first of four major golf championships, preceding the US Open in June, the British Open in July, and the PGA Championship in August.

Actual Schedule: 2012 National Signing Day – 2/1

• TV: 9am-7pm ESPNU, 1-6pm CBS Sports Network

ESPNU will televise ten hours of comprehensive coverage of National Signing Day on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 beginning at 9am ET. The seventh annual ESPNU National Signing Day Special will be hosted by Rece Davis and Dari Howkhah.

Senior national recruiting analyst Tom Luginbill and recruiting analyst Craig Haubert will be joined in-studio by former head coaches Mike Bellotti, Randy Shannon, and Butch Davis, college football analysts Rod Gilmore and David Pollack, regional coordinators Corey Long, Jamie Newberg, and ESPN.com’s Mark Schlabach. Kirk Herbstreit, Lou Holtz, and Trent Dilfer will also provide commentary throughout the day.

CBS Sports Network will offer five hours of live programming on National Signing Day, starting at 1pm ET. The coverage will be anchored by Adam Zucker and Molly Qerim, who are joined in studio by Tom Lemming, Rick Neuheisel, Ron Zook, and MaxPreps.com National Football Editor Steve Spiewak.

Actual Schedule: Jorge Posada's Retirement Press Conference - 1/23

• Location: Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY
• Actual Start Time: 11am

Jorge Posada will officially announce his retirement at a Yankee Stadium news conference on Tuesday morning. The five time all-star will go out after 17 seasons with the New York Yankees, serving mostly as the teams catcher. Posada won four world series rings with the Yankees during his career.

 

The YES Network will televise Jorge Posada's retirement press conference live from Yankee Stadium beginning at 11am on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.

The 2012 ING New York City Marathon will be televised live nationally on ESPN2 from 9am to 12:30pm. WABC-TV in New York will also provide live coverage from 9am-2pm. The race is Sunday, November 4, 2012 and runs through all five boroughs. Following the race, ABC will nationally broadcast a two-hour Marathon highlight show.

Actual Schedule: London 2012 Summer Olympic Games – 7/27-8/12

• TV: NBC, NBC Sports Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, and Telemundo

London will host the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, officially known as the Games of the XXX Olympiad or the London 2012 Olympic Games. The Opening Ceremonies take place on NBC on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 7:30pm ET and the closing ceremony is scheduled for August 12, 2012.

In the United states, the games will be broadcast on the NBC family of networks, including NBC, NBC Sports Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, and Telemundo. You can view a list of worldwide broadcasters here. NBC will discontinue it's practice of using tape-delay and will instead broadcast everything live. There will still be a primetime highlight program. 

The Olypmics is one of the largest televised events in history and this year NBC will be offering more coverage than any Olympics ever. Therefore, it would be a little ridiculous (and nearly impossible) for us here at Actual Schedules to list all of the televised events for you. Therefore, we are providing the below widget, which should allow you to check what is going on at any given time or when a particular event is on. Worldwide Broadcast Schedule: London 2012 Summer Olympic Games –7/27-8/12

Actual Schedule: 84th Academy Awards (The Oscar’s) – 2/26

• TV: ABC
• Location: Kodak Theatre, Hollywood, CA
• Actual Start Time: 7pm ET  

 Billy Crystal will host the 84th edition of the Oscar's (also known as The Academy Awards) live on ABC on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 7pm ET. The awards will appear live across the United Sates. The awards are given out by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).

Earlier in the evening, at the 3rd Annual Governors Awards ceremony, the Academy will bestow the Academy Honorary Award upon James Earl Jones and Dick Smith. The Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award will be presented to Oprah Winfrey.

Following this weekend's National Football League divisional round of the playoffs, the teams are set for the NFL's conference championships. Both conference championship games will be played on Sunday, January 22, 2012, with the AFC on CBS and the NFC on FOX. The winners of each game will proceed to play in the Super Bowl on February 5, 2012 at 6:30pm on NBC.

Actual Schedule: 2012 NBA All-Star Game – 2/26

• TV: TNT
• Location: Amway Center, Orlando, FL
• Actual Start Time: 7pm ET

The 61st NBA All-Star Game will be played on February 26, 2012 at the Orlando Magic's home court, The Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

TNT will also broadcast the NBA All-Star Saturday Night beginning at 8pm on Saturday, February 25, 2012. The coverage includes the Sprite Slam Dunk, Taco Bell Skills Challenge, Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and Haier Shooting Stars.

The 2011 NBA lockout did not affect the scheduling of the All-Star game. Even though the season was shortened by 16 games to a 66-game schedule, the original date for the All-Star game was kept.


Don’t forget to tune in for the NBA draft on June 28th (7pm ESPN).

Actual Schedule: The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards - 2/12

• TV: CBS
• Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
• Actual Start Time: 8pm ET

The 54th Annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 8pm ET. The awards will appear live across the United Sates. The Beach Boys will reunite for their 50th anniversary at the Grammys.

A total of 78 awards will be presented following the Academy's decision to restructure the Grammy Award categories. The Grammy Awards (originally called a Gramophone Award) are given out by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Paul McCartney will receive the MusiCares Person of the Year two nights prior to the Grammy's.

Tournament Schedule: 2012 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament - 3/13-4/2

• TV: CBS, TNT, TBS, TruTV

The 2012 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament begins this year on March 13, 2012 and the title game will be played on April 2, 2012. March madness will start once again with a four team play-in for the last two spots before the Second round (formerly called the First round) begins on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

Selection Sunday will be on Sunday, March 11, 2012.

The playoff field for Super Bowl 46 has been set for the National Football League and the dust is settling from the wild card round of the playoffs. Below are the teams that will face off next weekend in the NFL's divisional round of the playoffs, with the winner advancing to the conference championships.
